Temtem? Pokemon? Huh?

Pokemon fans have been asking for it for years, most of us have wondered what it would be like and well..here it is! There's one thing though and that is that it's not made by Nintendo! Temtem was created by a game development company by the name of Crema based out of Madrid, Spain. This massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure was successfully funded in a Kickstarter campaign on June 3, 2018. The game is published by Humble. Temtem is still currently in development but was released to Steam in Early Access on 21 January 2020 and so far players seem to be giving it a warm reception for the most part. I admit the idea is appealing to me but from the video that I saw it was just a little too kiddie for me personally (says the guy who plays pokemon go) but I admittedly haven't played it yet so take that with a grain of salt if you don't own it either or haven't played it yet. What are your thoughts?

seems ok. does look super childish, but i like the idea of "collecting" pokemon... in the same way that I liked the idea of hunting monsters in monster hunter
